Backup

  • Right click over the calendar window and choose Manager.
  • Select Backup from the File menu.
  • Save the backup file to some safe place.

Make a note that all the necessary files are included in the backup file (the files with .ics extension are the most important since they contain your events and tasks).

Note: Only local events will be included in the backup file.

Restore

  • Right click over the calendar window and choose Manager.
  • Select Restore from the File menu.
  • Locate the backup file you created earlier.
  • Answer yes to the overwrite questions.

Note that if you restore the backup in a different computer all the paths must be the same as in the computer the backup was taken. If for example the user name is different you need to extract the files from the backup archive manually.

Automatic Backups

Rainlendar does automatic backups every time it is started or when the day changes. You can find the backups from the data folder.

In you are not able to restore the content directly with the "Restore"-functionality in Rainlendar you can also just extract the *.ics file from the backup archive and import it back to Rainlendar.
